Chinese Lemon Chicken

Y's lunch today is a Chinese restaurant staple. My son just loved the sourness and sweetness combined to make the crispy chicken strips more delicious. 

Chinese Lemon Chicken for babies/toddlers

Ingredients

2 chicken breast fillet cut into strips
1 cup flour
1 egg
1 cup panko (bread crumbs)
1/2 a lemon, sliced across thinly
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp coco sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch

  1. Bread your chicken fillet strips onto the flour, egg, then panko.
  2. Pan fry or deep fry your breaded fillet strips until golden brown.
  3. On a separate pot, melt the coco sugar, then add your lemon juice and cornstarch to make thick sauce.
  4. Add the cooked fillet strips onto the lemon sauce. Add fresh lemon slices.
  5. Let simmer for a few seconds before serving.
